My Practice
Much of my work involves supporting adults and adolescents with anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, and insomnia. Clients also come to session wanting to work on relationship challenges, work or academic stress, life transitions, and improving lifestyle routines and overall well-being.
It’s important to me that therapy be helpful, down-to-earth, and accessible. I genuinely enjoy getting to know my clients and learning their strengths, nuances, and patterns. As a clinician, I’m often balancing curiosity, humor, and warmth with guiding questions and direct feedback. I care deeply about demystifying mental health disorders and helping clients better understand their symptoms and presenting problems.
I take a collaborative approach to sessions, setting personalized goals and suggesting treatment techniques from evidence-based modalities. My goal is to equip clients with new ways of relating to thoughts and emotions while suggesting practical action steps to reduce symptoms and improve well-being.
While many of the goals set in therapy can be (and often are) accomplished in a short period of time, I’ve also had the pleasure of working with clients for a longer term. In either case, I value the opportunity to be a consistent resource and check point. I believe a therapy session can be the perfect place to pause, gather your thoughts and emotions, and proceed intentionally.
